The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a faith formation
process for welcoming new members into the Catholic Church.

What is the process?
The process begins with several weeks of inquiry and instruction during
which interested individuals can learn the core beliefs of the Catholic
Church, sacraments and rituals, and basic Church History. Inquirers
are
encouraged to ask questions. After the initial period, participants
are
asked to affirm their decision to continue the conversion process. The
process continues with more intense preparation until the Easter Vigil.
When does the process begin?
Classes begin in September and conclude after Easter.
What about attendance?
Regular participation is required. Attendance is viewed as a
commitment to the process.
Does anyone help me?
You will have a sponsor to help you throughout the initiation process.
The RCIA team is always available to help.
What documents are required?
Baptized Christians of another faith will need a copy of their
baptismal record.
